Enough!

Me and Lotta went to a manifestation arranged by the Kifaya (which means "enough") movement against.. well.. I think it was originally against rising prices on bread and vegetables but it seemed it was kind of against everything. :-)

It was kind of ridiculous how much police was around here, there can't have been more than around 50 protesters and maybe 20 journalists, but there must have been like 300-500 police officers there. These were just the backup troops around the corner cause I wasn't allowed to take photos of them from outside the small confinement designated for the protest. There were probably three times as many around the protest itself.

Some of the people yelling they had had enough. The yellow sticker says enough in Arabic.

The rest of the protesters. You could see a lot of orange here too, like the orange revolution but also the color of Ayman Nour's (who himself is in confinement) opposition party Al-Ghad.

Lotta watching the spectacle.

Ayman Nour and Nasser side by side.

Gives us cheap bread back!!

This guy was a bit crazy I think, walking around with bread and onions and screaming in the faces of the police surrounding us.

After this moment of excitement, me and Lotta had kind of had "enough" ourselves, abandoned the protest and went for some hot menthe in a coffee shop instead. Puh, it's exhausting being politically active... ;-)
