This Sunday I went downtown to stroll around in the "microcentro" and also to take a look at the antique fair which all guide books are very keen to mention. I was a bit disappointed with it, maybe it's more a thing for older people, which I guess I should probably have understood from the start. After all, I've seen "Antique Road Show" (Antikrundan in Swedish) and we all know how much fun that is. In the evening I consoled myself with some cheap Quilmes beer and fine Argentinian meat together with my Swedish roommate Theresa.
The famous Casa Rosada in the center of Buenos Aires.
This guy was digging a mysterious hole in front of the famous Casa Rosada. Maybe he was trying to get in?
Intense tango show in San Telmo, the district where the antique fair takes place on Sundays. The trend was clear: The more elaborate outfits, the more money they got. I wonder if they even really knew how to tango.. :-)
Antique... bags?
Me and Theresa in the "parrilla", which I guess is some kind of Argentinian steakhouse. I have my tipsy photo face on as usual, Theresa I doubt even know what is going on and the guys in the background I haven't got a clue what the heck they are doing.
