Trip to Uruguay

The Buquebus terminal where I took the slow ferry from. But it was really nice actually, comfy and three hours is not so bad anyway.

Yeah, sometimes I have this tendency to just take pictures of strange things... I just liked the composition, don't know, haven't really got anything to say about it. :-)

This is how incredibly brown and disgusting the river water of Rio de la Plata is. Yuck! Can't believe anyone would risk falling into it by going sailing here.

Soledad, Fiona & Crook eating chivito. Me, being more thirsty than hungry after having compensated for the outrageous hotel prices by chewing down half of their huge breakfast buffet hours before, I just had a few liters of beer instead. :-)


"Odio la naturaleza!", the infamous Crook poetically declaring how much he hates being in the nature while Fiona brings out his true nature... But little did she know she was playing with fire...


"Yeah that's right, that's what happens to you if you try to make fun of Crook!!"


This is the little plaza close to the church in Colonia, you gotta love all the shadows the chains cast everywhere.


Even a big ugly crane can look quite beautiful in the morning. I have a photo of it from the morning I arrived too so I know what I'm talking about. (Please don't ask why I take so many pictures of cranes cause I have no clue. :)


It was damn early to get up at 4 four in the morning to catch the first ferry, but getting to see the amazing colors of the dawn was definitely worth it.
